A walking tour of Abraham Lincoln’s NYC funeral route in connection with the CAMC feature film project, The Embalmer’s Tale.
On April 24 2014 Captain Ahab’s Motorcycle Club hosted a walking tour of Abraham Lincoln’s NYC funeral route. The event was held on the 149th anniversary of the NYC Lincoln funeral and in connection with the CAMC feature film project, The Embalmer’s Tale. At 8:45AM we met at Desbrosses Street on the bank of the Hudson River. At 9:00AM we walked up Desbrosses St. veered onto Canal St. via Hudson St, continued along Canal St. to Broadway, then down Broadway to City Hall. At 10:00AM we took a tour of NY City Hall. At approx. 11:30AM we began the “April 25th funeral route” up Broadway. We stopped for lunch at Union Square where we decided to abandon the remainder of the April 25th route for beer and noodles, which was part of the plan all along.
